Faith-Based Financial Education Ministry

Finance: According To Your Faith (FATYF) is first and foremost a faith-based financial education ministry whose goal is to combine modern strategies and techniques for financial and business management with sound Biblical principles; to empower people with information and tools to effectively manage their own finances; and to be an objective place where people can come get cutting-edge information on how to manage their financial affairs.

FATYF reaches across the entire socio-economic spectrum to empower and enrich the financial lives of people.  For those at the lower end of the spectrum, FATYF teaches them that they must first change their mindset regarding finances and gives them the language and tools to apply to their finances.  For the middle tier of the spectrum, those who are not struggling but want to grow in their finances, FATYF teaches them how to get more out of their resources and how to avoid some of the common pitfalls. For the top of the spectrum, FATYF teaches them how to increase their resources and use them effectively so that they can make a difference in the lives of people for the kingdom of God.

FATYF is not a prosperity-driven ministry. We do not offer quick fixes or tidbits on how-to get rich quick. We do not produce overnight wonders. FATYF is not at all like the wealth building programs you read about in magazines or see in infomercials. FATYF is unique because it uses the best-selling book of all times - the Bible - to teach us how the understanding of Biblical truths, carefully integrated with a practical understanding of sound financial strategies, can be applied to our everyday lives to build wealth and eliminate debit.

Debt is an equal opportunity enslaver. Debt does not esteem age, sex, race, religion, nationality or geography. Young and old, male and female, middle-class and poor; black, white and brown, democrats and republicans: all battle with managing rising debt. Through FATYF individuals get a new approach for their old ways of thinking about debt. People are given tools to break race and class stereotypes and generational curses concerning debt.

Deena Marie Carr established FATYF in 2005 as the financial education ministry of Christian Heritage Training Center. Inspired by God, Deena Marie used her spiritual training, natural teaching ability and education to begin the first phases of Finance: According to Your Faith.  She understood the potential impact that combining objective financial information and biblical principles could have on the people of God when they are given the resources and tools to manage their financial affairs.

Deena Marie has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry and is currently a partner at a major global management consulting firm, in addition to being a minister at the Christian Heritage Training Center.  Deena Marie earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Northwestern University, a Masters in Business Administration in finance from the University of Chicago and a Doctor of Philosophy in Finance and Church Administration from the Hope Bible Institute & Seminary.

Deena Marie has released her book entitled, Wealth - Grow It God's Way, and has also recorded a collection of single and series set CDs and DVDs.
